"Red Hot" - Tutorial (PTU Kit)



**Supplies Needed**

Tube & Kit of choice. I'm using a new release by Roman Zaric called “Larisa” and the matching kit. You can buy them over at his store here


Mask by Cat – 30InsatiableDreams here

Wordart – Mine “Red Hot” here


**Plugins**

Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow (optional)



Open up your tube of choice
Shift + d to duplicate
Close the original
Minimize your copied tube for the moment

Open a new image – 650 x 650 pixels

Open up element 14 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “14”

Image – Resize 85%

Image – Free Rotate




Arrange over on the left-hand side of your tag

Layers – Duplicate – Image – Mirror

Rename “14 copy”

Highlight layer “14”

Grab your Magic Wand Tool

Select inside the three circles

Selections – Modify – Expand – 2 pixels

Layers – New Raster Layer and rename “small circles inside1”

Open up paper 7 from the kit and minimize it

Grab your Floodfill Tool

Change your Background to paper 7


Angle = 0, Scale = 100

Floodfill your selection


**Do Not Deselect**

Grab your tube we minimized earlier


Copy – Paste – As New layer and rename “tube1”


Arrange over the selected area

Selections – Invert – Delete

Selections – None


Change the Blend Mode to Hard Light and lower the Opacity to around 73

Layers – Merge – Down

Drag the merged layer down in your Layer Palette so that it is below layer “14”

Highlight layer “14 copy”

Grab your Magic Wand tool

Select inside the three circles

Selections – Modify – Expand – 2 pixels


Layers – New Raster Layer and rename “small circles inside2”


Grab your Floodfill Tool – Background still set on paper 7

Fill the selections


**Do Not Deselect**

Grab your tube


Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube2”


Arrange over the selected circles


Selections – Invert – Delete


Selections – None

Change the Blend Mode to Hard Light


Lower the Opacity to around 73

Layers – Merge – Down

Drag this layer down in your Layer Palette so that it is below layer “14”


Your tag should now look something like this :




Highlight layer “14 copy”

Open up element 13 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “13”

Image – Resize – 75%

Grab your Magic Wand Tool

Select inside the large circle


Selections – Modify – Expand – 2 pixels

Layers – New Raster Layer and rename “inside”

Open up Paper 4 from the kit and minimize it

Grab your Floodfill Tool

Change your Background to Paper 4 from the kit


Angle = 0, Scale = 100


Fill your selection


Selections – None


Drag this layer down in your Layer Palette so that it is below layer “13”


Highlight layer “13” again

Grab your tube


Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “main tube”


Arrange in the center of your tag

Once happy with the placement

Layer – Duplicate and rename “main tube copy”

Drag this layer down in your Layer Palette so that it is below layer “13”


Hide layer “main tube copy” for a minute

Highlight layer “main tube”

Grab your Eraser Tool


Carefully erase any of your tube which overhangs the circle frame




Unhide layer “main tube copy”

Grab your Eraser Tool


Again, carefully erase any of your tube which overhangs the bottom of the circle frame




Highlight layer “Raster 1” and rename “mask”

Grab your Floodfill Tool

Change your Foreground to #b22f1f


Floodfill the mask layer


Layers – Load/Save Mask – Load Mask From Disk

Choose “30InsatiableDreams” with these settings :




Adjust – Add/Remove Noise – Add Noise

Uniform, Monochrome, 59%

Add a drop shadow to the following layers :

main tube copy, 13, 14 and 14 copy


Highlight your “main tube” layer

Open up element 12 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “12”

Arrange over the bottom center of your tag

Add a drop shadow

Open up element 4 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “4”

Image – Resize – 55%


Arrange over on the bottom-right of your tag

Add a drop shadow


Open up element 27 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “27”

Arrange along the bottom edge of your tag

Add a drop shadow

Open up element 17 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “17”

Image – Resize – 55%

Arrange over on the left-hand side of your tag like so 




Layers – Duplicate and rename “17 copy”

Image – Mirror

Layers – Merge – Down

Add a drop shadow


Open up element 16 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “16”

Image – Resize – 45%

Arrange over on the right-hand side of your tag on the stem of the cherries we just placed

Layers – Duplicate – Image – Mirror and rename “16 copy”

Layers – Merge – Down

Add a drop shadow

Open up element 3 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “3”


Image – Resize – 75%

Arrange over on the bottom-left of your tag


Add a drop shadow

Open up element 1 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “1”

Image – Resize – 45%

Arrange over on the bottom-left of your tag by the pole we just placed

Add a drop shadow

Layers – Duplicate and rename “1 copy”

Arrange the copy over on the bottom-right of your tag


Highlight layer “1” again

Open up element 19 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “19”

Arrange over on the right-hand side of your tag. The largest bubble should overlay the top-right circle.

Open up your wordart

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “wordart”

Arrange it along the bottom of your tag

Effects – Eyecandy 4000 – Gradient Glow with these settings :

Glow Width = 3
Soft Corners 25%
Overall Opacity 100%

Draw Only Outside Selection Checked




Add a drop shadow


**If you would like to resize your tag, now is the time to do so**

Add your name and all copyrights.
Save your finished tag and you’re done!



Red Hot - Facebook Timeline Cover

I made this tonight too, so posting it here for peeps.  This is also to use *AS IS*  No alterations please.

It uses Roman Zaric's New Release "Larisa" and her matching kit, both available over at his store here.  Enjoy xx





Red Hot - Snags

"Burlesque" - Tutorial (PTU Kit)




**Supplies Needed**

Tube & Kit of choice. I'm using a recent release from Roman Zaric & the matching kit called “Burlesque”. Both can be purchased here


Mask by Designs By Vaybs – "DBV_Mask89" here


**Plugins**

None


Open up your tube of choice
Shift + d to duplicate
Close the original
Minimize your copied tube for the moment


Open up a new canvas – 650 x 650 pixels

Open frame 2 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “frame 2”

Grab your Magic Wand tool

Select the inside of the frames

Selections – Modify – Expand – 2 pixels

Highlight layer “Raster 1” and rename “paper”

Open up paper 2 from the kit

Copy – Paste – Into Selection


Selections – None

Grab your tube

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube”

Arrange behind the third section of the frame over on the right like so :



Layers – Duplicate – Image – Mirror

Layers – Merge – Down

Highlight layer “paper”

Selections – Select All – Float – Defloat


Selections – Invert

Highlight layer “tube” - Delete

Selections – None

Highlight layer “frame 2”

Layers – New Raster Layer and rename “blank”

Selections – Select All

Highlight layer “tube”

Image – Crop To Selection

Adjust – Hue & Saturation – Colorize

Hue & Saturation = 0

Highlight layer “blank” and rename to “mask”

Grab your Floodfill Tool – Foreground colour set to #000000

Fill the layer

Layers – Load/Save Mask – Load Mask From Disk

Choose “DBV_Mask89” using these settings :




Layers – Arrange – Send To Bottom

Highlight layer “frame 2”

Add a drop shadow of choice

Grab your tube again

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube main”

Arrange in the centre of your tag

Add a drop shadow of choice

The following apply to the elements I have used in my tag above. Please do not feel you need to stick to these, they are for guidance only.

Open up the rose corsage element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “rose corsage”

Image – Resize – 65%

Arrange over on the right-hand edge of the frame

Layers – Duplicate – Image – Mirror

Layers – Merge – Down

Add a drop shadow of choice

Open up the rose1 element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “rose1”

Image – Resize – 75%

Arrange over on the bottom-left edge of the frame, below the corsages we just placed

Layers – Duplicate and rename “rose1 copy”

Image – Mirror

Highlight your “rose1” layer again

Open up the corset2 element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “corset2”

Image – Resize – 45%

Arrange over on the right-hand side of your tag near the corsage and rose

Add a drop shadow

Open up the umbrella element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “umbrella”

Image – Resize – 55%

Image – Free Rotate with these settings :



Arrange over on the left-hand side of your tag near the rose and corsage

Add a drop shadow

Open up the high heels2 element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “high heels2”

Image – Resize – 45%

Arrange over on the bottom-left again by the flowers and umbrella

Add a drop shadow

Open up the purse2 element from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “purse2”

Image – Resize – 65%

Arrange over on the right-hand side of your tag near the corset and flowers

Add a drop shadow

Highlight layer “rose 1 copy”

Open up element lips1 from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “lips1”

Image – Resize – 45%

Image – Free Rotate with these settings :




Arrange on the top-left corner of the frame

Layers – Duplicate and rename “lips1 copy”

Image – Mirror

Layers – Merge – Down

Add a drop shadow


**If you would like to resize your tag, now is the time to do so**


Add your name and all copyrights.
Save your finished tag and you’re done!

"Baby It's Cold" - Tutorial (PTU Kit)




This tutorial was written on Saturday, 12th January 2013 by Mystery Designs. It was written in PSP X2 and assumes a good, working knowledge of the program. Tube – Roman Zaric's “Donatela” HERE

Kit - “Donatela” matching kit HERE

Template - “Temp70-Leah” HERE

**Plugins**

Alien Skin – EyeCandy – Gradient Glow

Open up your tube of choice
Shift + d to duplicate
Close the original
Minimize your copied tube for the moment

Open up your template
Shift + d to duplicate
Close the original
Delete layer “credits”

Image – Canvas Size – 800 x 650 pixels

This may seem rather large but don't worry, it can be resized later on if peeps wish :) Mine was resized by 80%.

Highlight layer “circle 1”

Selections – Select All – Float – Defloat

Open up “paper 6” from the kit

Copy – Paste – Into Selection

Selections – None

Highlight layer “square 4”

Selections – Select All – Float – Defloat

Grab your tube that we minimized earlier

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “main tube”

Arrange over the middle circle

Once you are happy duplicate and rename “main tube copy”

Layers – Arrange – Bring to top

Hide this layer for the moment

Highlight your “main tube” layer

Grab your Eraser tool and carefully remove any of your tube which overlaps the bottom of the middle circle like so :


Effects – Plugins – EyeCandy – Gradient Glow with these settings :



Unhide and highlight layer “main tube copy”

Grab your eraser tool again, and once more carefully remove any of your tube which overlaps the bottom of the circle

Highlight layer “square 1”

Selections – Select All – Float – Defloat

Grab your tube again

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube1”

Position over your selection

Selections – Invert and hit Delete

Selections – None

Lower the Opacity to around 53

Highlight layer “square 2”

Selections – Select All – Float - Defloat

Grab your tube again

Image – Mirror

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube2”

Position over your selection

Selections – Invert and hit Delete

Selections – None

Lower the Opacity to around 53

Highlight layer “square 3”

Selections – Select All – Float – Defloat

Grab your mirrored tube again

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tube3”

Position over your selection

Selections – Invert and hit Delete

Selections – None

Lower the Opacity to around 53

Unhide layer “bg”

Grab your Floodfill Tool

Change your Background colour to #ba3f4a

Fill this layer and rename “mask”

Layers – Load/Save Mask – Load Mask From Disk

Choose “ Tee-Mask46” with these settings :



Add a Drop Shadow to the following layers :

circle frame 2
square 1
square 2
square 3

The next steps are given as guidelines only to replicate the taggie I made above. Please feel free to add whichever elements you wish from the kit you have chosen.

Highlight layer “main tube copy”

Open up “flower1” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “flower1”

Image – Resize – 45%

Position over the bottom edge of the circle frame like so :



Add a drop shadow

Open up “charm” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “charm”

Image – Resize – 55%

Arrange over on the right-hand side of your tag on the middle square frame like so :



Hide layer “main tube copy” for a moment


Open up “bow1” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “bow1”

Arrange over on the top-left of your tag like so :



Layers – Arrange – Move Down

Add a drop shadow

Open up “bow2” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “bow2”

Image – resize – 50%

Arrange above the previous bow we just placed like so :



Add a drop shadow

Open up “evergreen” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “evergreen”

Image – Resize – 75%

Arrange over on the bottom-left of your tag like so :


Layers – Arrange – Move Down

Layers – Arrange – Move Down

Layers – Duplicate and rename “evergreen copy”

Image – Mirror

Image – Flip

Arrange over on the top-right of your tag like so :



Drag this layer down in your Layer Palette until it is below layer “frame2”

Add a Drop Shadow to both “evergreen” and “evergreen copy” layers

Highlight layer “bow2”

Open up “tree” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “tree”

Effects – Plugins – EyeCandy – Gradient Glow with the same settings from before, but change the Glow Width to 20.16

Arrange your tree over on the left-hand side of your tag like so :



Drag this layer down in your Layer Palette until it is below layer “frame”

Unhide your “main tube copy layer”

Highlight layer “flower1”

Open up “sparkles” from the kit

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “sparkles”

Time to add your wordart

If you are using the one I have used

Open up “Baby It's Cold Outside”

Copy – Paste – As New Layer and rename “wordart”

Effects – Plugins – EyeCandy – Gradient Glow with the same settings again, but this time change the Glow Width to 6.77

Arrange along the bottom of your tag like so :



**If you would like to resize your tag, now is the time to do so**

Add your name and all copyrights.
Save your finished tag and you’re done!
